The Store Report Feb 1-8
Good morning, what a fickle summer period we are having but we are lucky in a sense that the fishing has been great and will continue to be so for some time if your prepared to fish to the conditions and that is with a little tip or two here and there and asking if your not so sure.
The weather as always plays the most important part and up till now it has been wet, cold and windy at times with interuptions of sunshine and warmth and sunshine that pushes us back inside or under the sun unbrella its so humid and intense,

Water temperatures are relective and as a result we have as well a huge volume of water that has been created by rain over the earlier part of the summer holiday and subsequent top ups. This has meant that we have great volumes riverwise and a water table that is full, with lakes that are bursting at the seams as well.

The cooler temperatures and water levels has allowed the fish to hold in the lakes at levels which are simply easier for the boaties to target and as a result the fishing has been great. Many of our boaties who fish and holiday once a year have found that fishing with a fly, one or two colours right throughout the day has produced a significant number of fish and in good condition. Some are smaller but generally the fish have been really well received by the anglers.

River fishing, awesome this year, so much water, cooler daytime temperatues punctuated by humid hot days, has allowed a lot of movement and the higher water table and volumes have given anglers a fantastic opportunity though little pressue at this time of the year.

River mouths likewise have had little pressure but for those of us that have read and followed the weather patterns the fishing has been really quite exciting. Good numbers of fish are coming into all of the mouths over a regular period of time day and night.

Take care on the water and feel free to call for an update and or accommodation anytime cheers stella 073868953
